How to Use the Social Media Suite

In our discussions with high school students, we asked them how they preferred to receive information. The answer? Social media. Especially Instagram.

We wanted to make it easy for schools to share information about available mental health resources with their students.

The following social media suite includes Instagram posts that were co-developed by youth, researchers, and partners, and are supported by our research findings. The goal is to provide schools with youth friendly, evidence-based, and easily accessible content to guide their students to appropriate mental health resources.

How to Access the Content

Accessing the content is easy!

  • Find the content you would like to share

  • Download the .jpg or .mp4 file

In the Instagram post, include more information in the caption related to any resources offered at your school or community, and how to access them (e.g., location, hours).

Share the Instagram post to your stories. Include links in your Instagram bio or in the story related to school- and community-specific mental health resources (e.g., include a link to the Mental Health Resource Guide or the Database).
