How to Use this Resource Guide

The Mental Health Resource Guide is designed to be shared within schools (and beyond!) with students. The Resource Guide is designed with space for schools to fill in their own school- and community-specific resources. Once schools have filled in their information, they can share the guide with students both online (e.g., on the school website) and in print (e.g., place hard copies in school areas that students can easily access). There is also a Poster version.

The Resource Guide includes mental health resources available nationally across Canada and provincially for Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Québec. While the guide has been adapted provincially for four provinces (our research focused here), the national resources apply to all. If you are looking for resources specific to your province, please see the Mental Health Database to search for other youth mental health resources and services. Please note that this guide is not intended to be an exclusive list.

“I don't think many people know about these organizations. I didn't know these kind of things exist... I didn't know you could just talk to someone or text someone through an organization.”
